Current WIPs : d'Histoire Naturelle and Queen blanket, and a cowl

D'Histoire Naturelle

I always have multiple WIPs going (WIP = work in progress). Because if I have an intricate pattern where I have to watch what I do all the time, I want a project as well where I can just 'mindlessly' crochet.

At the moment I have 3 WIPs (ahum, and a few more)...

The d'Histoire Naturelle blanket, where I have just finished the third part.

The 'simple small' Queen blanket (there are lots of versions available), which is a mosaic crochet project, where I just finished part 4.

And my 'mindless' crochet project, the Dotty cowl. Also a mosaic crochet, but much simpler and in the round, so no cutting yarn.

Queen blanket

J'ai toujours plusieurs WIP projets (WIP = work in progress = projets en cours). Parce que si j'ai un projet plus difficile, ou il faut que je fasse attention tout le temps, j'aime faire également un projet que je puisse crocheter 'sans réfléchir'.

Actuellement j'ai 3 WIP (ahem, et quelques en plus)...

La couverture d'Histoire Naturelle: j'ai fini la partie trois.

La couverture Queen, la simple et petite (il y a plusieurs versions): c'est du crochet mosaïque et j'ai fini la partie 4.

Et mon projet 'sans réfléchir', le col Dotty. C'est également du crochet mosaïque, mais plus simple et en rond, alors pas besoin de couper les fils.

And part 2 of the CAL d'Histoire Naturelle is finished as well!

At 59 cm it is becoming a real blanket. We have made bees and butterflies and we have gone from square to an octagon.

Avec ces 59 cm ça devient une vraie couverture. On a fait des abeilles et des papillons et on est allé d'un carré à un octagone.

Je suis curieuse de voir de que mercredi nous emporte!

 

D'histoire naturelle - part 1

Part 1 of the d'Histoire Naturelle CAL 2020 is online since yesterday on the Scheepjes website.

It's a lovely CAL to crochet, but I couldn't put it down yesterday. So I've already finished it!

Now  I have to wait a whole week...

La partie 1 du CAL 2020 d'Histoire Naturelle est en ligne depuis hier sur le site de Scheepjes.

C'est un agréable CAL à crocheter, mais je ne pouvais plus arrêter hier. Alors c'est déjà fini!

Maintenant il faut que j'attende une semaine...

A new adventure starts: d'Histoire Naturelle

This week we saw the start of the new free Scheepjes CAL 2020 called d'Histoire Naturelle.

The blanket is designed bij Christine Hadderingh of A Spoon Full Of Yarn.

For the official woolpacks you can choose between 2 different yarns and 4 different colour combinations, so 8 choices! I chose Entomology in Colour Crafter.

This CAL is not only a crochet-a-long, but also a read-a-long. The design is inspired by the book 'All the light we cannot see' by Anthony Doerr. And every week you can read a part of the book and discuss it in the FB group on Sunday. Of course this is not mandatory.

This weeks start is the 'tips & tricks' file, which also has a swatch to determine your hook size. At the same time this is the start of the blanket, so if you have the correct swatch, you keep it!

As you can see, my swatch is done and I can't wait for next week for the official part 1!

Cette semaine c'était le début du nouveau CAL gratuit de Scheepjes, qui s'appelle d'Histoire Naturelle.

Cette couverture est la création de Christine Hadderingh de A Spoon Full Of Yarn.

Pour les paquets de pelotes officiels on peut choisir entre 2 sortes de laine différentes et 4 combinaisons de couleurs différentes, alors 8 choix à faire! J'ai choisi Entomology en Colour Crafter.

Ce CAL n'est pas seulement un 'crochetez ensemble', mais également un 'lisez ensemble'. La création de la couverture a été inspiré par le livre 'Toute la lumière que nous ne pouvons voir' de Anthony Doerr. Et chaque semaine on peut lire une partie du livre et discuter dessus dans le groupe FB le dimanche. Bien sûr ce n'est pas obligatoire.

Cette semaine on a vu le début avec le dossier 'trucs et astuces'. La dedans il y a aussi les instructions pour un essai, pour déterminer la taille de ton crochet. Vue que c'est également le début de la couverture, on le garde précieusement, dès que on a trouvé la bonne taille!

Comme tu peux voir, mon essai est fait et j'attendrai la semaine prochaine avec impatience, pour le début officiel de la partie 1!

Cockles of my Heart shawl

One of the first things I finished was this shawl called Cockles of my Heart by Kirsten Bishop. I made it with a yarn by Hobbii called Cotton Kings Twirls in the colour Galaxy Opal (31).

As you can see it is a striking shawl in a triangle. 

And in that cotton yarn it's very comfortable to wear.

  

Une des premières choses que j'ai fini était ce châle qui s'appelle Cockles of my Heart (= coquillage de mon coeur) de Kirsten Bishop. Je l'ai fait avec un fil de Hobbii qui s'appelle Cotton Kings Twirls dans la couleur Galaxy Opal (31).

Comme tu peux voir c'est devenu un châle frappant en triangle. 

Et dans ce fil en cotton il est très agréable à porter.

Een van de eerste dingen die ik afgemaakt heb is deze omslagdoek Cockles of my Heart van Kirsten Bishop. Ik heb het met garen van Hobbii gehaakt: Cotton Kings Twirls in de kleur Galaxy Opal (31).

Zoals je ziet is het een opvallende driehoeks omslagdoek. 

En door de katoenen draad is het heel comfortable om te dragen.

Ubuntu CAL - part 8 & 9

I did show you part 8 on Facebook already, but not here. So today I'll show you my part 8 and 9 together. 

Both are from the border. Part 8 is the lacy part of the border and part 9 is the colourful part.

Je vous ai montré la partie 8 sur Facebook déjà, mais pas ici. Alors aujourd'hui je vous montre ma partie 8 et 9 ensemble. 

Les deux sont de la bordure. La partie 8 est la partie en dentelle et la partie 9 est la partie coloré de la bordure.

Ik heb jullie deel 8 al op Facebook laten zien, maar hier nog niet. Dus laat ik vandaag mijn deel 8 en 9 samen zien. 

Beiden zijn van de rand. Deel 8 is het kantachtige deel en deel 9 het kleurrijke deel van de rand.

WIP : Caitriona shawl

Two days ago I started the Caitriona shawl by Margo Bauman. 
Caitriona is the name of the actress who plays the leading role of Claire Fraser in the Outlander television shows.
The free pattern is available on Ravelry HERE.
It's an asymetrical wrap with beads on one side, and rows of open stitches lengthwise. I didn't use the yarn recommended (Jazz Handz Fusion Fiber in the Outlander Series: Jamie Fraser Kilt colorway), but Drops Delight (colour 04).  I also didn't use the beads recommended in the pattern, but bigger grey pearls. Both the yarn and the pearls came from my stash.

Il y a deux jours j'ai commencé le châle Caitriona de Margo Bauman.
Caitriona est le prénom de l'actrice qui joue le rôle principal de Claire Fraser dans les films télévisés Outlander.
Le modèle gratuit est disponible en Anglais sur Ravelry ICI.
C'est un châle asymétrique avec des perles sur un côté, et des rangs des points ajourés dans la longueur. Je n'ai pas utilisé la laine recommandé (Jazz Handz Fusion Fiber in the Outlander Series: Jamie Fraser Kilt colorway), mais Drops Delight (couleur 04). Je n'ai non plus utilisé les perles recommandées dans le modèle, mais des perles grises plus grandes. A la fois la laine et les perles viennent de mon stock.


 



Twee dagen geleden ben ik begonnen aan de Caitriona omslagdoek van Margo Bauman.
Caitriona is de naam van de actrice die de hoofdrol van Claire Fraser in de Outlander televisie serie speelt.
Dit gratis patroon is verkrijgbaar in het Engels op Ravelry HIER.
Het is een asymetrische wrap met kraaltjes aan een kant, en rijen met open steken in de lengte. Ik heb niet het aanbevolen garen (Jazz Handz Fusion Fiber in the Outlander Series: Jamie Fraser Kilt colorway) gebruikt. Ik heb ook niet de aanbevolen kraaltjes gebruikt, maar grotere grijze pareltjes. Zowel het garen als de pareltjes komen uit mijn voorraad.

Inclination wrap

Aujourd'hui j'ai fini mon Inclination châle de la créatrice Julme Conradie. 

Le modèle est disponible en anglais sur le site Nurturing Fibres.

C'est un châle asymétrique en point de lin.

Bien chaud et doux pour les soirées automnale à venir!

Today I finished my Inclination wrap by the designer Julme Conradie.

This pattern is available in UK and US crochet terms on the Nurturing Fibres site.

It's a asymetrical wrap in linen stitch.

Warm and soft for the autumnal evenings to come!

Vandaag heb ik mijn Inclination wrap van de ontwerpster Julme Conradie afgemaakt.

Dit patroon is in UK en US engelse haaktermen te krijgen op de Nurturing Fibres site.

Het is een asymetrische omslagdoek in linnen steek.

Lekker warm en zacht voor de komende herfstavonden!

Encore un Dragon Belly !

Voilà, encore un châle Dragon Belly, cette fois pour une cliente! Et comme elle l'a finalement reçu, je peux vous le montrer maintenant.

Ce châle créé par Mijo Crochet, est tellement différente avec ce Whirl Sherbet Rainbow; un vrai châle d'été ! J'ai de nouveau ajouté des pompons amovibles, dans les couleurs des coins correspondants.

 

And there it is, another Dragon Belly shawl, this time for a client ! And because she finally received it, I can show it to you now.

This shawl designed by Mijo Crochet, is so different made with Whirl Sherbet Rainbow; a real summer shawl ! I have again added removable tassels, in the colours of the corresponding corners.

 

 En daar is t-ie dan, nog een Dragon Belly omslagdoek, deze keer voor een klant ! En omdat zij hem eindelijk ontvangen heeft, kan ik hem nu laten zien.

Deze omslagdoek ontworpen door Mijo Crochet, is zo anders met deze Whirl Sherbet Rainbow; een echte zomer omslagdoek ! Ik heb er weer afneembare kwastjes aan gemaakt, in de kleuren van de bijbehorende hoeken.

Grinda shawl

Le châle Grinda de Tatsiana Kupryianchyk de Lilla Björn Crochet était fait en MAL (=Make A Long = Faites ensemble), alors sur plusieurs semaines. Il y avait une option pour une extension après la partie 4, et c'est ce que j'ai fait. Alors je n'ai pas seulement utilisé le Whirl Blueberry Bambam, mais également la Whirlette Ice.
J'adore ce grand châle en sensation coton !

















The Grinda shawl by Tatsiana Kupryianchyk of Lilla Björn Crochet was made as a MAL (=Make A Long), so during several weeks. There was an option for an extension after part 4, and I made that too. So I had to use not only the Whirl Blueberry Bambam but also the Whirlette Ice.
I love this big shawl with coton feel !

De Grinda omslagdoek van Tatsiana Kupryianchyk van Lilla Björn Crochet is gemaakt als MAL (=Make A Long), dus gedurende meerdere weken. Er was ook een optie voor een verlenging na deel 4, en die heb ik ook gemaakt. Dus had ik niet alleen de Whirl Blueberry Bambam nodig, maar ook de Whirlette Ice.
Heerlijk deze omslagdoek die voelt als katoen !

WIPs with Whirls

Actuellement j'ai deux encours avec Scheepjes Whirl.
D'abord avec le Whirl Sherbet Rainbow (768) je suis en train de faire encore un châle Dragon Belly de Mijo Crochet pour une cliente. Les pompons amovibles sont déjà fait et les premiers changements de couleur sont déjà visible.
Ensuite j'utilise le Whirl Blueberry Bambam (755) pour participer au MAL (= Make-A-Long = faire ensemble) du châle Grinda de Tatsiana de Lillabjörn's Crochet World. Le modèle est gratuit sur le site, mais chaque semaine qu'une partie; ou le modèle entier mais payant sur Ravelry. Je viens de finir la partie 2....

 

















At the moment I have two WIP's with Scheepjes Whirl.
Firstly with the Whirl Sherbet Rainbow (768) I'm making another Dragon Belly shawl by Mijo Crochet for a client. The removable tassels have already been made and the first colour changes are already visible.
And secondly I'm using the Whirl Blueberry Bambam (755) to participate in the MAL (= Make-A-Long) of the Grinda shawl by Tatsiana of Lillabjörns's Crochet World. This pattern is free on the website, but you'll get just one part a week; or you can get the whole pattern but paid on Ravelry. I've just finished part 2....

Op dit moment heb ik twee WIP's (= Work-In-Progress) met Scheepjes Whirl.
Allereerst met de Whirl Sherbet Rainbow (768) ben ik weer een Dragon Belly omslagdoek van Mijo Crochet aan het maken voor een klant. De afneembare kwastjes zijn al gemaakt en de eerste kleurveranderingen zijn ook al te zien.
Daarnaast gebruik ik de Whirl Blueberry Bambam (755) om deel te nemen aan de MAL (= Make-A-Long) van de Grinda omslagdoek van Tatsiana van Lillabjörn's Crochet World. Dit patroon is gratis op haar website, maar dan krijg je maar één deel per week; of je kunt het hele patroon kopen op Ravelry. Ik heb net deel 2 af....

Dragon Belly shawl

Finalement mon châle Dragon Belly (= ventre de dragon) est fini !
C'est un modèle de Mijo Crochet assez facile, alors je l'ai fait en regardant la télé le soir, entre les autres projets. Et alors, petit à petit le châle est devenu de plus en plus large.... A la fin il y a un joli finition sur la bordure et j'ai fait 3 pompons amovible, comme ça je pourrai le porter avec ou sans pompons.
La laine utilisé est le Katia Winter Rainbow 101, de bleu foncé vers anthracite à turquoise. C'est un mélange de laine et d'acrylique.
Il sera parfait pour l'automne et l'hiver !

 



Finally my Dragon Belly shawl is finished !
It's a pattern by Mijo Crochet and is rather easy, so I made while watching the television at night, between other projects. And so, little by little the shawl grew bigger and bigger.... At the end there's a nice finish to the border and I made 3 removable tassels, so I can wear it with or without those.
The yarn used is Katia Winter Rainbow 101, from dark blue through anthracite to turquoise. It's a mix of wool and acrylic.
It wil be perfect for autumn and winter !








 



Eindelijk is m'n Dragon Belly omslagdoek (= drakenbuik) klaar !
Het is een patroon van Mijo Crochet en het is vrij makkelijk, dus ik heb 'm gemaakt terwijl ik 's avonds naar de tv keek, tussen andere projecten door. En dus, beetje bij beetje groeide de omslagdoek groter en groter.... Aan het eind zit er een mooie rand aan en heb ik nog 3 afneembare kwastjes gemaakt, zodat ik 'm zowel met als zonder kan dragen.
Het gebruikte garen is Katia Winter Rainbow 101, van donkerblauw via anthraciet naar turquoise. Het is een mix van wol en acryl.
Hij is perfekt voor de herfst en de winter !
